| The Organizing Committee invites you to submit abstract of 200 – 250 words. Abstracts need to indicate one of the following themes: |

Abstracts of papers will be submitted to the Scientific Committee for evaluation and presenters will be notified regarding the status of their abstracts (oral or poster presentation) and date of presentation. The committee may request some papers nominated for oral presentation by authors as posters. Abstract should be submitted together with the Registration Form.
A copy of all abstracts will be printed in the Symposium Handbook and distributed to Symposium participants.

The entire abstract, including title, authors(s), institution(s) and country must fit within the rectangle (16cm length x 13cm width) and margin 2.0cm left and right. Do not use outside this frame. Please use Word for Windows 2000 and up to the latest version. |

Abstract must be submitted in English; |
| 3. |
Abstracts should consist of a title, list of authors and their affiliation, contact address including e-mail address, keywords, and one paragraph only of script; |

Type the title of the abstract in capital letters. Underline the name of the presenting author. Use numbers in the title for author affiliation; |
| 5. |
The abstract should be typed single spaced, using Times Roman letter, size 12 points. Standard abbreviations may be used. The abstract should not exceed 250 words; |

Abstract should be sent by e-mail as Microsoft Word file attachment; |
| 7. |
Please indicate your presentation preference: oral or poster; |
| 8. |
Please nominate the theme (one only) to which your abstract relates. |

Oral Presentations
Time allowed for each presentation will be 12 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for questions and comments. Authors responsible for oral presentation are requested to deliver their material (CD or Flash Disk) upon registration, at least 1 day before the respective session in the Speaker Room at the Secretariat, where there will be a member of the Organizing Committee.
In all session PC projection (Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 up to the latest version) will be available. Halls are not equipped with Overhead and Slide Projectors.
Each participant is allowed to present a maximum of two Oral Presentations during the symposium.
Poster Presentations
Each poster must be no greater than 90cm wide and 120cm high. Authors should supply their own fixing materials. The panels provided as back drops are Velcro compatible.
Presenting authors are requested to display their posters the day before the respective session. Authors are requested to be presence beside their posters during the respective session. Each participant is allowed to present a maximum of two posters at the same Poster Session.
Full Papers
Presenting authors are requested to submit full papers upon arrival in Bogor to the Secretariat during the Symposium both as hard copy / soft copy. The paper for publication in Acta Horticulturae should be no longer than 8 pages for oral presentation and 6 pages for poster presentation. All submitted papers for oral or poster presentation will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and the selected papers will be published in the volume of Acta Horticulturae. |
